Sketch Comics fue concebido, un club de dibujantes buscando ser la nueva ola del comic nacional, rapidamente compartió la idea con su amigo Ismael Serrano, esperando comerse el mundo a trazos de tinta china, integraron a la mejor dibujante amazona del mundo: Erika Ortega, unos meses después “reclutaron” a Edgar Manjarrez y al amigo imaginario de todos: David Sánchez…
Sketch Comics se convirtió en un club de dibujantes buscando revolucionar el entorno de la historieta nacional, un grupo de amigos amantes del comic, se reunían para platicar acerca de los tebeos y dibujar y crear personajes, la creatividad fluía y la diversión nunca paraba, fuimos afortunados al ser parte del boom del comic en México gracias a la muerte de Superman, se crearon tiendas de comics y convenciones que eran el sueño de todo aspirante a comiquero, nos tocó ser parte de un movimiento que lamentablemente no se consolidó por motivos que no sabría explicar, en esos pasillos de las convenciones conocimos a grandes exponentes del medio: platicamos con Humberto Ramos, fuimos testigos de la primer propuesta del Ultrapato de Edgar Delgado, convivimos con Oscar Gonzalez Loyo…
Pasó el tiempo y con los años fuimos interesándonos en otras cosas, Beto Chiñas, Ismael Serrano y Edgar Manjarrez estudiaron diseño y se separaron del sueño de ser el siguiente Erik Larsen, de los demás del club; unos se volvieron misioneros, otros solo se apartaron…
En el 2008 regresan con todo, comprando el dominio sketch-comics.com e iniciando un webcomic de aventuras al estilo Cadaver Exquisito llamado “Sketching… ando”, y más tarde uno cómico titulado “Ensalada de Moneros“. Poco a poco fueron anexando títulos de webcomics hasta consolidar un extenso surtido de opciones para leer comics ne internet.
En 2011, nos sonríen las estrellas, uniéndose al estudio el excelente dibujante Gustavo “monkey” Cosío y el escritor Boris Gorjón, colaborando magistralmente en nuestros títulos.

Han pasado mil y una aventuras y hoy, más de 20 años después siguen con el sueño de cambiar al mundo pero ahora con diferentes herramientas y diversos enfoques, con la única constante de que siguen cultivando una gran amistad y siguen amando al, muy seguido, menospreciado arte comiqueril…
En este 2013 seguirán publicando comics vía web y de vez en vez una que otra publicación en papel…
